15 February 2020 Suncoast Region Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade 7 PM – 10 PM Ft Meyers Fl. Named as the largest night parade in the Southeast year after year, the Grand Parade is a two-hour extravaganza featuring national participants & local marching bands, floats, local government and law en-forcement officials, clowns and much, much more. The parade brings the entire Southwest Florida community out in celebration of the life and achievements of our local winter resident, Thomas Edison. 16 Feb 2020 Saturday Suncoast Region Static Display NNSRA Appreciation Day - Tampa Bay Racers Reunion & WWII Display 4610 Pet Lane Suite 105, Lutz, Florida 33559 This is our second year hosting the NSRA Appreciation Day car show. Registration is first come first serve the morning of the show until we are at capacity and is open to vehicles 30 years old and older. This is a free event for registration and spectators. Feb 21-23 - First Florida Chapter of the MVPA Winter Rally and Swap Meet Featuring WWII Armor 21, 22, and 23 February, 2020 Renninger’s Antique Center and Flea Market 20651 US Highway 441 - Mt. Dora, FL 32757 Display your Military Vehicle via one of two Options:
1.For No Charge, your vehicle can be displayed, but it will not be judged.
2. For $20.00, you vehicle will be displayed and judged. And you will receive an event tee shirt. Awards will be given to the top vehicles in the following categories: “Renninger’s Pick”, “President’s Pick”, “Best Dis-play”, and the “Top Ten”. Dinner & Awards Ceremony hosted by the club: The Saturday evening event is for vendors, club members, Rally participants, and re-enactors. Tickets will be available from the registration tent and must be picked up by 1:00 PM Saturday. WWII Battle Reenactment & Weapons Demonstration: Saturday and Sunday at 1 PM. A Muzzle Flash photo opportunity with the tanks firing will be available late Friday and Saturday afternoon, shortly before sunset. On-site Camping is available. My understanding is the Vehicles would’ve displayed-on Church St. before and during the game . Security would be provided. 21 March 2020 - Oviedo Florida - It is with great pride and excitement that Honor Flight Central Florida announces our third annual fundraising event “Hot Rods for Heroes” Classic Car & Bike show to be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at our new venue, the northwest parking lot of The Oviedo Mall in Oviedo, FL. This is a fun filled, family style afternoon with nearly 200 hundred classic cars on display. All wheels are welcome, including motorcycles. • Shake hands, talk with and thank WWII, Korean and Vietnam War heroes. • At 12:00 noon immediately following the national anthem, watch our friends the McNeely father and son duo of The Honda Generators Race 90 Team fly their AT-6 Texan vintage racing airplanes over our show • Enjoy vintage vehicles from the Military Vehicle Preservation Association. • Hear bagpipes courtesy of The City of Mount Dora Pipe Band. • Buy chances to win a $1000 Visa Gift Card (Need not be present to win) Enjoy classic oldies music with Butch & Jen Johnston of WJBJ “Cruisin' with the Classics”. 28 March 2020 - Joint Veterans Support Committee Hosts East Coast Thunder Join us as we honor and remember our Vietnam Veterans with a commemorative ceremony and ride on Vietnam War Veterans Day. 28 Mar 2020 Static Display Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans 2020 Hosted by Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Punta Gorda Fl. April 2020 will mark the 45th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War for America. Only a handful of cities and towns have honored the Vietnam Veterans with the “Welcome Home” they deserved after the way they were treated by the general public on their re-turn from only “doing their job” as they were called to do. As of 2018 the Vietnam Veterans are passing at a faster rate than the surviving WWII Veterans because of “Agent Orange” complications. So lets give them the “Welcome Home” they so richly deserve. On Saturday, March 28 2020, we will honor them with a parade and a ceremony at the Vietnam Wall of Southwest Florida, located in beautiful Punta Gorda, Florida. The ceremony will be followed A Special Concert by the One and Only Lee Greenwood. FCC Con TBD
